Project Puppet Nomad Academy

Project Puppet Nomad Academy

In November 2009 Mini teater begun to work on the one of the biggest puppet projects Puppet Nomad Academy.
Inspired by the “nomads of beauty” from European avant-garde, they have envisioned this project as unique traveling puppet workshops from Armenia to Byelorussia, Czech, Croatia, Slovenia to Belgium. The goal is to connect the great masters of puppet art Aleksei Leliavski, Marek Bečka, Armen Safarian that come from rich traditions of East-European puppetry with the masters from Slovenia, Croatia and Belgium and young puppeteers and actors mostly from Slovenia and participating countries.
The project is inspired by antic and old European tradition that master-lecturers share practical knowledge, secrets and skills with students and young artists.

Project leader: Mini Teater, Ljubljana (SI)
Coorganizers: Figurentheater Vlinders and Co vzw (BE), Bouchty a Loutky (CZ),UO Novo Kazaliste (HR),Armenian Center of International Union of Pupeteers (Armenia),Belarussian State Puppet Theater (Belarus)
