In order to be eligible the countries must have concluded an association agreement or political and cooperation agreement with the EU and ratified the 2005 UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions.
In light of Ukraine and Azerbaijan's recent ratification, European cultural operators will be able to participate with their Ukrainian and Azerbaijani counterparts in the special call for cooperation with third countries.
The deadline for submission of proposals is 3 May 2010.
Projects must have duration of not more than 24 months; involve a minimum of three co-organisers drawn from three different countries taking part in the Culture Programme and involve cultural cooperation with at least one partner from the selected third country (at least 50% of the project output should come from that country).
Please note that the EU-grant cannot be more than 200.000 (co-financing rate of 50%).
The updated list of eligible countries for the special action, with deadline 3 May 2010 is: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, Jordan, Moldova, occupied Palestinian Territory, Tunisia and Ukraine.
